 LAURA C. HARRINGTON. Attorney at Law. Laura Harrington has been practicing law since 1999. She is a trial attorney and concentrates her her litigation practice in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury and employment issues, including discrimination claims and contracts. Laura is admitted to the State and Federal bars in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Before attending law school, Laura was a Registered Nurse, working in oncology, surgical trauma, and critical care. She served as Head Nurse at the Philadelphia Veterans' Affairs Medical Center from 1990-1993. Laura still maintains her license as a Registered Nurse. Her background and experience as a nurse complement her legal experience, not only in personal injury and malpractice cases, but throughout her entire practice.
In addition to her legal practice, Laura has volunteered with the Women's Mentoring Program at the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institute, with the Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate, and the Professional Advisory Committee of Visiting Nurse Services of Newport & Bristol Counties. She also lectures nurse practitioner students at the University of Rhode Island on legal issues related to their practice.
